Director and Writer

In 2003, I began working as an Executive of Production for Canada's largest independent film studio at the time, Insight Film Studios. It was a "Roger Corman" style of indie-filmmaking - fast, creative and frugal - mostly involving sci-fi, thrillers and television series. Those years of "trial by fire" production provided an education and network I still utilize today. As well as directing for over 20 years in the Vancouver scene, I've also executive produced and produced features with a focus on stories worth telling with unique voices that need to be heard. Many of these stories have been with first time directors. I’m in the “know” locally with who or what to avoid from a production stand-point. I’m also well versed in local budgets and scheduling for both creative and logistics. When I come on board a production at the development stage or production stage, I’m hands on. I'm involved in script, all art dept show and tells, location scouts, budgets, scheduling, casting etc… post pathways if needed. I help oversee all aspects of production with the producing team and especially as support for the director's vision. As well, one of my many talents as a producer in my back pocket is being an award-winning writer with over 30 produced scripts. I professionally do polishes / re-writes and solve production curveballs on the fly through revisions during prep and production.
